Continuing this hot line up on the second weekend of the festival are the hypnotic Neo Soul groove sounds of Excellent Gentlemen. You won’t want to miss this chance to see this unique group! As an added bonus, you’ll want to grab a wine glass and stop by the Northfork Lodge to enjoy the rare Jazz sounds of Ben Burdick at another of the newest event additions: Wine and Art Jubilee on February 1.

To conclude the 10 days of Winter Carnival festivities, there’s no better band than Equaleyes, fresh out of Boise with their Rock/Pop/Reggae/Funk style, to bring you back next year!

Dr. DrogeMcCall, Idaho, December 10, 2007 - With a humble yet enthusiastic chuckle Dr. Eddie Droge accepted the nomination to be Grand Marshal of the Mardi Gras Parade at the 43rd Annual McCall Winter Carnival.

“He has lived and worked in our community for many, many years and has been a personal physician to many citizens of McCall and Riggins. After having retired this past year I think it would be a wonderful way to pay tribute to such a dedicated individual,” stated local resident Mary Fisher, in her nomination.

Since 1968, Dr. Droge has served the people of McCall through his healing ability, while delivering several generations of McCall families. His work at the Memorial Hospital, the Payette Lakes Medical Clinic and the Salmon River Medical Clinic in Riggins has been recognized and appreciated by the residents in these areas.

“My career was always an ongoing positive experience. I came from a small town so I was already accustomed to this lifestyle. I’ve never minded the growth, for me it’s been easy to adapt. I’ve always enjoyed the people and all that this Valley has to offer,” explained Dr. Droge.

Dr. Droge’s retired days are spent here in McCall, where he still volunteers at the hospital assisting with administrative decisions. After gladly accepting the Grand Marshal title he confirmed his plans to appear in the parade.

McCall, Idaho, Dec. 4, 2007 – With this year’s enhanced Winter Carnival comes new ways for local businesses to benefit through targeted advertising opportunities.

The Winter Carnival Committee has developed an Official Winter Carnival Program and an event listing guide, both will be handed out and available to all Winter Carnival attendees. Each of these documents provides targeted ad space to introduce the captive Winter Carnival audience to local business. In addition, several flyers will be passed out during the Carnival, which also have premium advertising space available.

“We are excited to introduce this kind of value for local businesses at this year’s Carnival. As a marketing company, we know the significance of having your company represented through a variety of avenues. The potential is unrivaled by any other event in this area,” said Stacey Divine, CEO of Infuze Marketing.

Another great opportunity available this year is the Winter Carnival Web site, which has been revamped and will feature all event sponsors and advertisers with links to their business Web sites. This provides an enhanced opportunity to be featured front and center and also have click-through capabilities to lead the viewer directly to your business.

This is a great way to take advantage of this yearly event and make it work to your advantage! Full and half-page opportunities are also available; prices start at only $150. Space is limited in some cases so if interested please contact the committee as soon as possible. Call Jesse Murphy at (208) 866-6085 or jesse@infuzemarketing.com.

McCall, Idaho, Nov. 20, 2007 – The 2008 McCall Winter Carnival Committee is asking the community for volunteers to chair some of this year’s events. This year’s Carnival is set to be the best yet with additional events and activities, but the committee needs chairman to help coordinate.

“We’d like to extend a thank you to everyone that has already signed up as a chairman and would also like to ask the rest of our community to consider getting involved,” said Jesse Murphy, Winter Carnival Committee Chairman.

Perhaps the biggest event of the Carnival, The Mardi Gras Parade on January 26 still needs a chair, as well as the Children’s Neon Light Parade on opening night. In addition, this year’s committee has added a Merchandising Chair to manage the merchandise booth where new and enhanced Winter Carnival gear will be sold. This year the committee has also added a Float Chair as a response to the community’s expression of an interest in having bigger and more detailed floats in the parade; the chair would organize and find groups that would like to build floats. The chair position for the Children’s Activities is also available; this person would plan all of the activities for the child play area, such as sledding and operating the snack shack.

Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are also still available, for more information or to volunteer please contact Jesse Murphy at, jesse@infuzemarketing.com or (208) 866-6085. Information on the McCall Winter Carnival is available on the new Web site: www.mccallwintercarnival.com.

That’s right, just contact the McCall Winter Carnival Committee and they will contract a snow sculptor to create a unique sculpture within your chosen budget that follows this year’s Wild, Wild West theme.
